periodically. The list will be updated as new dogs come into rescue, or
current ones are placed. If you are interested in one of our dogs,

NOTE: Due to a lack of foster space, we are not listing any dogs at the
moment. However, if you are interested in getting a
rescue Akita, please contact us. We network with other rescue groups,
and dogs are constantly being give up. We can help you find a dog that
will suit your needs.

Heart of Dixie Akita rescue can make no statement about their health, temperament or any other issues that might affect their suitability for placement, or the type of environment which would best suit their needs. They are listed because they are dogs in need of homes, and in the hope that someone may see them and have a place for them.
